We have a delivery of sand arriving this afternoon at around 2 PM. There will be a sandpile on both the east and the west sides of Stewart Hill Park, north of the cemetery. Sandbags will be available there at the filling locations. The National Weather Service is reporting rain over the next several days. It is encouraged to evaluate your roof for high levels of standing snow and remove what you can as a safeguard against a buildup of excessive weight on roofs. Additionally, removing snow from around the foundation of your home can help safeguard against flooding in basements. We hope the rains are light and do not lead to significant problems.
